An update that is MUCH better than the initial speculation.
Per Tom Pelissero of The Ringer, the prognosis for Caleb Williams is positive, as he avoided a serious hamstring injury.
Bears QB Caleb Williams avoided any major injury to his hamstring Sunday, tests confirmed today - and the team isn't even ruling him out for next Monday's game against the Eagles, sources tell @ringer@netflixsports.

Ultimately, there still should be precaution exercised here, as hamstring injuries can be tricky to both diagnose and treat without risking setbacks. That being said, there is a chance Caleb Williams does not miss any time due to what is being considered as a mild hamstring pull. It's certainly better than what Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys recently underwent, as he missed an entire season due to the required surgery.
It's also not the first time in Caleb Williams' football career that he's pulled a hamstring. In December of 2022, he suffered a similar injury in his left leg and would not be back to full speed for a month. As teammates have described, Caleb is a very resilient baller who will push to return as soon as possible.
Ben Johnson will be speaking to the media in the near future. And, chances are, we should expect Tyson Bagent at quarterback against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football unless the Bears are 100% convinced Caleb Williams is good to go in one calendar week. Still... I can speak for many of us when I say, Thank God."
UPDATE: Ben Johnson did a morning spot with Jeff Joniak on ESPN1000 and said, It sounds like it's going to be a week-to-week deal for him. ... But he will likely miss some time."
UPDATE:Johnson said Williams probably won't practice this week, but he won't rule him out for Monday night against the Eagles, adding, We're saying week to week with him right now. We'll see where he's at as the week progresses and how long that means... It was somewhat encouraging, the report we got."
He's right now working through every avenue that he's got available to get back on track here," Johnson said about Williams. We'll see what that looks like. Here's what I know. This guy's a little bit different than the average human being. I said that last night, I'll double down on that. He gets back - he has in the past - a lot faster than what people can anticipate and so I'm not putting a timeline on this. We're going to say week to week. He's going to attack this with everything that he knows."
