If you're unfamiliar with the Yahoo Fantasy Football Expert League, let's fill you in a bit before we go over what was a wild Week 2. Yahoo Fantasy houses some of the leading analysts in the industry and we were fortunate enough to get all of them in a league for the 2026 NFL season. To keep you up to date on things, we'll be providing weekly recaps on all the action. Let's get into it.
Here's a quick look at what the standings are after the second set of games of the season:
Here's an overview of the Yahoo Expert League standings after two weeks.Yahoo SportsShould we be surprised that Yahoo analysts Scott Pianowski and Matt Harmon are atop the leaderboard after two weeks? As someone who frequently edits their content the past two seasons, I'm not. Also, shoutout to Max Loeb for also being undefeated after the first two slates. Let's look at how they got it done.
Harmon just got past fantasy basketball analyst Dan Titus, 129.68-120.66, to improve to 2-0 on the season. Despite another poor performance from Chargers QB Justin Herbert, who failed to reach 10 fantasy points, Harmon got consistent production from almost all of his other roster spots, most notably Derrick Henry, and one of his favorite preseason picks, Jaylen Waddle.
Despite falling to 0-2 on the season, Titus' team looked good in Week 2 with strong showings from DeVonta Smith, Travis Kelce and Ja'Marr Chase.

Pianowski continues to reap the benefits of selecting Amon-Ra St. Brown early on as he carried his team to another win with 30+ points versus the Bills on TNF. Pianowski was able to shake off Jonathan Taylor's big game on SNF for Justin Boone, who also had the Chiefs D/ST. It was the 17 points from Harrison Butker that made the difference in a 113.8-103.66 victory for the Fantasy Sports Writers Association Hall of Famer.
Loeb's Big 3 of Josh Allen, Christian McCaffrey and Davante Adams totaled nearly a combined 100 fantasy points in Week 2 as he helped hand Joel Smyth another loss, 133.12-106.92. Loeb's team could become even more dangerous once TE Brock Bowers is ready to return from injury.

Josh Norris got his first win of the season, taking down Chris Allen 109.12-71.3, after opening with an epic tie in Week 1. Another big performance from Kenneth Walker helped lead the way. Meanwhile, Ray Garvin got the board with a 107.88-85.58 victory over NFL analyst Eric Edholm. Garvin leaned on two big TNF performances (Jared Goff's 29.78 points and 19.0 from Dalton Kincaid) to come out on top.
We'll wrap things up with the biggest upset of the week. Shoutout to college fantasy football analyst Eric Froton, who went from scoring the least amount of points in Week 1 to the most points (141.98) in Week 2 in a win over Hayden Winks. That's showbiz, baby!
