Commanders vs. Giants Wednesday injury report: Stefon Diggs unavailable

The Commanders injury is so long. Like, scroll down and check it out. Things are getting, well, extreme when it comes to player availability.

The receiver corps has been hit, with the top pass catching options missing time with hamstring issues.

We knew that Terry McLaurin was dealing with one, but seeing Stefon Diggs on the injury list was a surprising development.

Defensive lineman Charles Omenihu has developped into an essential component of the front seven, so losing him for any stretch is a blow.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota isn't going on injured reserve but should still be a DNP for a few weeks. It was a plus that Jayden Daniels was a full participant and should start in a now crucial Week 5 contest against the Giants.

The Commanders should get Nick Cross back and hopefully Sam Cosmi, which would be a huge win for a 1-3 team simply having to play better against an NFC East rival.
