Mike Evans isn’t on the injury report; Upton Stout misses practice again
(Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images) | Getty ImagesThe San Francisco 49ers' final injury report is out. Here's who will miss Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks:
FB Kyle Juszczyk (knee)
S Marques Sigle (ankle)
DL James Thompson (ankle)
DL Nick Bosa
Here are the players who are listed as questionable:
CB Upton Stout (shoulder)
DE Mykel Williams (knee)
Kyle Shanahan said the plan is to activate Mykel Williams from the PUP list on Saturday. When asked how he's looked, Shanahan said, He's lost weight in a good way. I don't know if he's lost weight, but he's leaner. He's had a good two weeks. He was good last week, and this week's been even better. Ready to get back out there on the field."
Shanahan wouldn't say exactly how much Williams would play. When he's out there, he'll be a full-go. We rotate our guys. Understand it's his first game. We gotta see how it goes."
That means wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) isn't on the injury report after missing Thursday's practice, suggesting the team likely gave him a day off to manage the injury.
Stout did not practice on Friday. But Shanahan also said no when asked if Stout had a setback on Thursday. That explains why his availability is in question.
The Seahawks ruled out the following players:
RB Zach Chabonnet (knee)
CB Julian Neal (hamstring)
LB Chazz Surratt)
Charbonnet has not played this season. Seattle has not run the ball well. They are 29th in EPA per rush and 20th in rushing success rate. Losing your right guard doesn't help. Neither does your first-round running back.
George Holani was more snaps than price this season. He was limited all week with multiple injury designations: Ribs, knee. That leaves Emanuel Wilson, a former Packers restricted free agent. Green Bay let him walk. He's been boom-or-bust with Seattle so far. Wilson's had 20.8% of his runs result in a gain of zero or negative. Their line is only providing 0.77 yards before contact for Wilson.
Defensive tackle Leonard Williams (ankle) practiced in full, as did safety Ty Okada (hamstring), who seems poised to make his season debut.
