The Pittsburgh Steelers are dealing with the injury bug running through their wide receiver room. Michael Pittman Jr., Roman Wilson, and Ben Skowronek are all dealing with injuries with various timetables to return. D.K. Metcalf, Kaden Wetjen, and Germie Bernard are healthy. Unfortunately, with the injuries to the receiver room, the Steelers may have to pivot from their preferred personnel groupings.

According to Football Insights, the Steelers live in two personnel packages. With a 54.5% usage rate, 11 personnel (3 WR's, 1 TE, 1 RB) is by far the most utilized personnel group. Coming in second is 12 personnel (2 WR, 1 RB, 1 TE); the Steelers sit at a 37.7% usage rate. It is fair to expect more of 12 personnel while the Steelers wait for their receiver room to get healthy.

Perhaps a pivot to more 13 personnel is in the cards, but it will be hard to envision a three-receiver package until the receiver room gets healthy. Sunday will be interesting in Tampa Bay.

Here is Thursday's Three Rivers Report.
