In-game updatesThird quarterThe Saints sack Jameis Winston again and the Giants punt again.
The Giants hold the Saints to a field goal, but the lead is extended to 27-10 with 1:12 remaining in the third quarter.
Giants playing their worst game of the season since late in the 2nd quarter. Just bad football.
- Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) October 18, 2026
The Giants find a bit of rhythm. Then a miscommunication between Malik Nabers and Jameis Winston leads to an interception.
CB Greg Newsome II has been ruled out with a concussion.
Tyler Shough runs in the touchdown on 3rd and goal. Saints lead 24-10 with 5:43 to go in the 3rd quarter.
Jevon Holland saves a touchdown by tackling Miller just short of the end zone. Now a touchdown ruled on next play, but I'm pretty sure the Saints RB was short here
- Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) October 18, 2026
That Charlie Jones fumble took the air out of the stadium and the Giants have been a different team since. So have the Saints.
- Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) October 18, 2026
Greg Newsome II is being evaluated for a concussion. Significant with Colton Hood out with a concussion and Paulson Adebo still on the IR.
The Giants' offense is completely disjointed as the Giants have multiple false start penalties after a bad run to start the drive.
Najee Harris' 1st down run only goes 2 yards. Sisi Mauigoa commits a holding penalty that negates a Saints offsides on 2nd and 8. Tyrone Tracy Jr. false starts on 3rd and 8. Andrew Thomas commits a false start penalty on 3rd and 13.
- Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) October 18, 2026
On 3rd and 18 from their own 6, Jameis...
Charlie Jones still in at KR after his killer fumble late in the first half.
- Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) October 18, 2026
If you bring pressure you got to make open field tackles.
- Nick Falato (@nickfalato) October 18, 2026
The Giants' defense unravels with shoddy tackling as Alvin Kamara takes a pass to the endzone. Saints lead 17-10 after the extra point. The Saints have scored 17 unanswered points off of Giants' mistakes.
Second quarterSaints RG Cesar Ruiz is questionable to return with a knee injury. This is a Jersey homecoming for Ruiz, who is from Camden.
- Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) October 18, 2026
Really good first half for the Giants defense. Kick return fumble killed them. Allowed only 134 total yards. Tyler Shough 8-of-19 for 58 yards.
- Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) October 18, 2026
The Giants were the better team in the first half, but miscues, mistakes, and missed tackles proved costly. The Saints will get the ball to start the second half.
#Giants badly outplayed #Saints in first half and are tied 10-10 because of a disastrous 83 final seconds
- Ryan Dunleavy (@rydunleavy) October 18, 2026
The Giants nearly have a goal line stand, but Tyler Shough finds a wide open Bryce Lance for a touchdown on 4th down. The Game is tied 10-10 as we go to halftime.
The Giants fumble again as Charlie Jones loses the ball on the ensuing kick-off return. The Saints recover in scoring position.
The Giants get off the field anyway, with Deonte Banks getting pressure on Tyler Shough. The Saints convert a 58-yard field goal to get on the board. The Giants lead 10-3 with 1:18 remaining.
#Giants called a late timeout and might have cost themselves a third-down sack
- Ryan Dunleavy (@rydunleavy) October 18, 2026
Winston comes back on the field but can't find Malachi Fields in the Red Zone. The Giants settle for a 34-yard field goal, which Dominic Zvada drills. Giants lead 10-0 with 2:27 remaining in the game.
J.J. McCarthy in the game. #package
- Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) October 18, 2026
Option run, loss of 2.
Not gonna work until they let him run some semblance of the offense and throw the football imo.
Jameis Winston takes helmet-to-helmet contact, then comes off the field for J.J. McCarthy. McCarthy then loses 2 yards on a read-option play.
Another tush push picks up the 1st down, then Jameis Winston finds Malik Nabers for 20 yards on 2nd and 15.
Malik Nabers isn't going to lose in the open field vs. Cam Jordan.
- Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) October 18, 2026
Arvell Reese is freakishly powerful.
Arvell Reese just tossed Saints left guard David Edwards so far back, Edwards' legs basically tackled Kendre Miller, with Reese finishing the play off #Giants
- Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) October 18, 2026
The Giants eventually get off the field, holding the Saints to a 55-yard field goal attempt. The kick is no-good, and the Giants take over at the 45. Giants lead 7-0,
Kayvon Thibodeaux pressure gets Shough off his spot for a throwaway on 2nd down. Thibodeaux get held on that play, too. No call
- Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) October 18, 2026
Ar'Darius Washington flashing again.
Great tackle Ar'Darius Washington. #Giants caught a break with a blown coverage on 1st down but mostly flying around, creating havoc, not missing tackles
- Ryan Dunleavy (@rydunleavy) October 18, 2026
The Saints get to Winston twice on blitzes, forcing another Giants' punt. The Giants are struggling to get Nabers and Likely open against the Saints' man coverage.
The Giants go against tendencies and run play-action out of heavy personnel. Malik Nabers with a nice gain on first down.
Giants coming out in heavy personnel: Skattebo, Ricard, Manhertz. Would expect them to try to get the run going here.
- Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) October 18, 2026
Washington comes in with a big run stop on second down, then Jevon Holland nearly picks off Shough on 3rd down and the Saints punt... and again after a delay of game.
First quarterAr'Darius Washington in for the third series in place of Jason Pinnock as part of the planned safety rotation.
- Dan Duggan (@DDuggan21) October 18, 2026
The Giants' next drive goes backward after Najee Harris runs into Jon Runyan Jr. on first down. Jordan Stout delivers a booming punt out of the endzone.
A 66-yard punt by Jordan Stout standing in his own end zone.
- Art Stapleton (@art_stapleton) October 18, 2026
The Giants eventually get off the field after forcing 3rd and 25, bringing up 4th and 10. The Saints get a huge punt, and the Giants take over at their own 15.
Abdul Carter drew a hold to stall a Saints drive.
- Nick Falato (@nickfalato) October 18, 2026
Carter is a high-side menace. pic.twitter.com/CuAgRUo16R
Abdul Carter draws a pair of holding penalties to move the Saints back to 2nd and 25.
Another holding penalty drawn by Abdul Carter on back to back plays. Adim might need some help on Abdul. https://t.co/4zFWSN8CQV

TOUCHDOWN GIANTS - Jameis Winston finds Tyrone Tracy as a check-down, and Tracy does the rest. The Giants lead the Saints 7-0 after the extra point from Dominic Zvada.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. makes a defender miss on a third-down reception for the TD. Good job by Jameis Winston to get the ball out under pressure.
- Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) October 18, 2026
Giants 7, Saints 0
Another big reception by Isaiah Likely followed by a Tyrone Tracy run in Saints' territory.
Jameis Winston delivers a 24-yard strike to Isaiah Likely. Really nice throw into a window as Malik Nabers cleared that area out. Giants into the red zone on next play on a Tyrone Tracy Jr. run
- Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) October 18, 2026
The Giants convert 4th and 1 with an interesting take on the Tush Push.
3rd and Likely. First down, Winston to his tight end
- Pat Leonard (@PLeonardNYDN) October 18, 2026
The Giants bring pressure on 3rd & 6 and Tae Banks did well to stick close with Chris Olave and force punt.
- Nick Falato (@nickfalato) October 18, 2026
The Tae Banks redemption arc is still ascending! pic.twitter.com/tNQyi6LQ6z
The Giants' defense brings the pressure and gets off the field, forcing the punt after the Saints pick up a first down.
Nice play by Deonte Banks on Chris Olave, who basically is injured #Saints entire offense.
- Ryan Dunleavy (@rydunleavy) October 18, 2026
The Giants can't take advantage of their field position as a pair of screens go backward and Jameis Winston misses Isaiah Likely on the third and long.
The Giants start with fantastic field position after the Saints' kicker misses the landing zone.
The Giants will get the ball to start the game after the Saints win the coin toss and defer to the second half.
Pre-game updatesSome thoughts before the game gets underway.
The Giants are 3-1-1. The Saints are 1-4. Despite that, FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Giants as 1.5-point underdogs.
The Giants are coming off a 27-27 tie last week against the Washington Commanders. They are 2-0-1 with Jameis Winston starting at quarterback following the Jaxson Dart injury.
