‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ Meets ‘Night of the Living Dead’ in a Merry Yet Spooky Movie Mashup
It's a Wonderful Night of the Living Dead" is a merry yet spooky movie mashup by the Bell Brothers that weaves together Frank Capras classic 1946 Christmas film It's a Wonderful Life with George Romeros 1968 horror film Night of the Living Dead. Released more than 20 years apart, the two movies still work well together thanks to rotoscoping and compositing techniques.
It's a not-so-wonderful life for George Bailey when a horde of flesh-eating ghouls come to town on Christmas Eve. Using traditional rotoscoping and compositing techniques, two classics have been woven together in this twisted love letter to the original films.
The short was an official selection at film festivals including the Seattle International Film Festival and the Telluride Horror Show.
