Official Title and Cast Photos Released for ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’, A Sequel to the 1996 Sci-Fi Disaster Film

20th Century Fox has released the official title and cast photos for Independence Day: Resurgence, the upcoming sequel to the 1996 sci-fi disaster film Independence Day. The new film, directed by Roland Emmerich, will star some familiar faces from the original movie like Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, and Vivica A. Fox with new cast members Liam Hemsworth, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward, Jessie Usher, and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Independence Day: Resurgence is currently scheduled to land in theaters on June 24, 2016
