Microsoft adds $1,299 Core i7 version to Surface Pro 3 lineup

Microsoft has quietly added a new member to its Surface Pro 3 family, packing an Intel Core i7 CPU, a 128GB SSD, and 8GB of RAM for $1,299. Previously, the cheapest Core i7 Surface Pro 3 was a much dearer $1,549, although it comes with a 256GB SSD, as well.
