Astronaut Terry Virts Demonstrates What Happens When Water and an Effervescent Tablet Are Combined in Zero Gravity

During his time on the International Space Station, astronaut Terry Virts demonstrated what happens when an effervescent tablet is dissolved into a floating ball of water in zero gravity. Unlike on Earth where the tablet simply bubbles from the bottom of a glass of water, this reaction happens in all directions as bubbles form and small bits of water are fired off.

The experiment was captured in 4K video using NASA's new RED Epic Dragon camera.
