Linux Distro w/ Heavy Emphasis on Privacy & Security
by mastermind1 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#G7ZQ)
Hello all, I am new to Linux (of course) but not new to computing or programming. I would like to ask some advice on which distros are optimal for enhanced privacy concerns, as well as some privacy-enhancing techniques which would compliment the distro.
I have researched some things and have narrowed my decision down to Whonix or Tails. I understand both route through the onion network, correct? But I do not understand which is the better selection.
The goal is to make it as difficult as possible for governments and large corporations to track my every move. This is not for illegal activities, this is more an act of protest, in the practice of lifestyle.
I don't care about Windows now that Windows 10 is out and can't fathom participating with them any more in this post-Snowden world. Any help, resources, links or advice would be HIGHLY appreciated and I thank you ahead of time.
