Sad news, today on both their Facebook and Twitter accounts, beloved Muppets Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy each posted statements that they are terminating their almost 40 year romantic relationship, which started on The Muppet Show in 1976. They both will continue to work together on The Muppets, the new ABC television show that premiers on September 22.
