Researchers Hacked a Model S, But Tesla’s Already Released a Patch

Researchers found security holes in Tesla Model S cars that would allow them, with physical access to the car, start it with a software command and drive it away. They could also plant a remote-access Trojan on the car's network while they had physical access, then later remotely cut its engine while someone else was driving. Tesla has distributed an over-the-air firmware patch to all Model S cars on the road.
