Eco-boats aim to clean Rio's 'open sewer' ahead of the Olympics – video

A year before the Olympic Games, Guanabara Bay - where the sailing events will take place - has been described as "basically raw sewage", raising health and safety concerns.
In an attempt to try to clean up some of the pollution afloat in the bay, officials have launched a Bay Without Garbage program that includes the use of a small fleet of boats to haul trash from the waters. Rio's authorities have acknowledged they will fail to meet their promise to cut the flow of pollutants into the bay by 80% in time for the Games, but can the eco-boats make the Bay safe for Olympians?
Their cleanup progress will be tested this weekend, when Guanabara Bay will host an international sailing event as a warmup for Olympics.
