Corpse Flower ‘Stinky’ Blooms at Denver Botanic Gardens to an Enthusiastic Crowd of Smell Seekers

A corpse flower (Amorphophallus titanum) nicknamed "Stinky" has bloomed at the Denver Botanic Gardens to an enthusiastic crowd of smell seekers. The flower is known for its pungent stench which has been compared to rotting flesh, and for the fact that it can take up to 15 years to bloom. Some visitors reported being disappointed that the smell wasn't foul enough to meet their expectations.
The Denver Botanic Garden and KUSA Denver have posted a livestream view of the flower for interested flower fans unable to make it to the Denver area, but unfortunately the smell does not translate online.
