Right before their August 21st Kansas City show, the amazing and increasingly popular Foo Fighters loaded themselves in the back of a blue pickup truck and pulled up in front of the Westboro Baptist Church. The band, which also included a large tattooed man in a tight purple shirt and a brightly colored Speedo, danced around to the classic Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up" - a live version of the rickroll.

Dave Grohl literally rickrolled the Westboro Baptist Church, I love him

In 2011, the band called for a counter-protest in front of the church with their original song "Keepin' It Clean".

On Aug. 30th, 2011 Westboro Baptist Church called for a picket of the Foo Fighters show in Kansas City. We had a little something up our sleeve. God Bless America.

Of course the church had something to say in response.

Did @FooFighters just #rickroll us? Oh well! Guess we'll just hafta parody THAT video, too (like last time) http://t.co/xsqKOt3KUG
