Samsung builds 12Gb LPDDR4 RAM chips with its 20-nm process

Samsung has unveiled what it claims are the world's first 12Gb LPDDR4 RAM chips. The more capacious RAM is built on a 20-nm process, and the company claims that it can hit speeds of 4,266 MT/s, a 30% speed improvement over previous 8Gb chips. Power usage is said to be 20% lower when compared to regular DDR4, too.
