The Wake-up Machine is a robot created by Simone Giertz that combines an alarm clock with a motorized rubber hand that repeatedly slaps the unfortunate user. Giertz explains her build process and shows the device in action by letting it slap her awake.
Presumably after she wakes up, Giertz will brush her teeth and then eat some cereal with the help of some of her other robots.
