Tim Peake blasts off on Tuesday from a cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to become the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station. He will spend 173 days in space as part of Mission Principia. His time on the ISS will be devoted to experiments on new materials in a weightless environment and investigations into how the human body reacts to zero gravity
