Scott Gomez not ready to call it quits after release from Blues
by from on (#Z9Q2)
Scott Gomez is already looking to get back on the ice.
Waived and released by the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday, the veteran center has his sights on joining another club, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Friedman reports the 36-year-old will begin skating with Adam Oates, under whom he rediscovered his game as a member of the New Jersey Devils.
While it didn't work in STL, he worked well in FLA and NJ. Still think he can help someone. And he obviously would like to do so.

Gomez recorded a goal and seven assists in 21 games with the Blues this season.
