On a historic night for forward Jarome Iginla, it was a Colorado Avalanche defenseman who stole the show Monday in a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings to end their five-game winning streak.

Tyson Barrie was in on all four goals, scoring the first two with a point blast and a wrister on the rush before picking up a pair of assists in the third period, including an assist on Iginla's 600th career goal.

In a battle of goalies looking to end four-game winless droughts, Semyon Varlamov made 30 saves to pick up the win, while in the other net, Jhonas Enroth gave up four goals and is now without a win since Nov. 12.

It wasn't a perfect night for the Avalanche, though, as defenseman Erik Johnson was forced to leave during the second period with a lower-body injury. No update has been given on his condition yet.

Colorado will look to improve on its 1-1-1 record in its current five-game home stand against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.
