The New York Rangers have signed free-agent forward Daniel Paille.
The deal is two-way in nature and carries a $575,000 cap hit at the NHL level, reports Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.
The 31-year-old spent the early part of the season with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, Chicago's minor-league affiliate. In 31 games, he recorded one goal and three assists.
