The Colorado Avalanche appeared ready to surrender two points to the St. Louis Blues on Friday. Nathan MacKinnon had other ideas.
MacKinnon buried a perfect feed from Matt Duchene to tie the game with just under one minute remaining in regulation.

The Avalanche went on to win in a shootout, maintaining their position in a wild-card spot with a record of 25-21-3.
The 20-year-old sniper now has 16 goals and 23 assists in 49 games this season.
