Stanford University Engineers Respond to Stephen Colbert Saying Science Ruined Spider-Man

During a recent episode of The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert mentioned a Cambridge University study titled "Why Spider-Man Can't Exist: Geckos Are 'Size Limit' for Sticking to Walls" that claimed Spider-Man is the latest thing to be ruined by science.

Stanford University research fellow Elliot Hawkes saw the episode and took issue with the claim. He and his team released a response video where they demonstrated a device they've developed inspired by geckos that allows a human to scale walls.
