Calgary Flames head coach Bob Hartley is sending a major message to his players Tuesday as forwards Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, and Lance Bouma are all healthy scratches against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team announced.

Multiple reports indicate they're being scratched for disciplinary reasons.

The Flames are coming off a 4-1 road victory over the Vancouver Canucks in which Monahan scored the game-winner, and all three forwards were present at Tuesday's morning skate.

Hartley ended Monday's practice after just 25 minutes following a lackluster effort from several of his players. Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reported a "number of regulars" showed up shortly before the beginning of the 10:30 a.m. skate.

With three forwards scratched, the Flames will be forced to dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen. With the Maple Leafs already shorthanded without the recently traded Dion Phaneuf and a slew of injuries, Tuesday's game could see a lot of unfamiliar faces.
