The Chicago Blackhawks will reportedly host the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, a source confirmed Thursday to ESPN's Pierre LeBrun.

It will mark the first time Chicago has hosted the draft.

A news conference is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET Thursday in Chicago to officially announce the event. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, Blackhawks chairman Rocky Wirtz, team president John McDonough, and Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel will be in attendance.

The 2016 draft will be held at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.
