Coyotes' Doan becomes all-time franchise points leader
Arizona Coyotes captain Shane Doan had a night to remember in a dominant 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Friday.
Doan picked up an assist on Oliver Ekman-Larsson's goal for his 930th career point, surpassing Dale Hawerchuk as the franchise's all-time points leader.
Although he did not initially record an assist on the play, Doan was eventually credited with a helper following a scoring change later in the game.
If there was any doubt about the record, Doan put it to rest by burying a one-timer on the power play for his second goal of the game shortly after.
