Report: Ducks recall Khudobin after Gibson injury
After goaltender John Gibson left Saturday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks with an upper-body injury, the Anaheim Ducks reportedly recalled fellow goalie Anton Khudobin from the AHL on Sunday, according to Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register.
Gibson didn't return for the third period after a collision with Blackhawks forward Richard Panik. There's no word on the severity of the injury, but Stephens reports there was little indication the 22-year-old was dealing with anything serious.
Frederik Andersen entered the game in relief of Gibson, and stopped five of six shots as the Ducks went on to win 3-2 in overtime, thanks to a goal from captain Ryan Getzlaf.
The Ducks continue their seven-game road trip Monday against the Calgary Flames.
