I like to think that today, nearly a year after the strip ended, Hazel is looking left, looking right, carefully pulling a self-help book off the shelf at the library and bringing it to the checkout desk. (Who am I kidding, she didn't check that book out, she sandwiched it with an unlikely magazine and then slipped them under her jacket and stole BOTH of them. Hey, I didn't say she'd READ the self-help book yet.)
