Amazon has introduced two new products that utilize its Alexa Voice Service, the Echo Dot and the Amazon Tap.

The Echo Dot is a smaller version of the original Amazon Echo device released in 2014. Similar to its larger predecessor, the Echo Dot can serve as a voice-activated Bluetooth speaker that can be used to order Amazon products or get information like news, weather, and calendar events. It can also connect to a home's smart devices to control temperature, lighting, and other features.

The Amazon Tap is a portable Bluetooth speaker with Alexa capabilities. It comes with a charging cradle and can be dressed up with an optional protective case available in six colors. The speaker can provide up to nine hours of playback on a single charge, and features Dolby dual stereo speakers.

The Echo Dot is currently only available to be ordered through a voice command on Alexa enabled devices like the original Amazon Echo or an Amazon Fire TV device.
