NRC Sends "Chilling Effect" Notice To TVA

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) said late last week that it had issued a "Chilling Effect Letter" to the TVA - the Tennessee Valley Authority - based on the perception that operators at the plant "may not have felt free to raise safety concerns, and some licensed operators may have been unduly influenced and directed by sources external to the control room."(read more)
