Environment select committee said plans allowing London and five other cities to charge fees should be available to more councils
Local authorities across England should be given enhanced powers to charge the worst polluting vehicles entering towns and cities in a bid to improve air quality, MPs have urged.
The Commons' environment, food and rural affairs committee said existing plans to allow London and five other cities to introduce restrictions and fees for certain vehicles should be extended across the country.
