Laine named World Championship MVP

Patrik Laine concluded Sunday's World Championship with one heck of a consolation prize.
The Finnish forward - expected to be selected in the top-2 at this year's NHL Entry Draft - was named the tournament's most valuable player even though his team was shutout 2-0 to Canada in the gold medal game.
Laine says he's proud to have won the World Championship MVP, but is too disappointed tonight to think about the NHL draft. Classy kid

Laine matched Detroit Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist with seven goals to lead the tournament and finished fourth in scoring with 12 points in 10 games.
