In the gorgeous 2008 animation "Resonant Chamber" by the legendary 3D music visualization company Animusic, an intricately designed, multi-necked, stringed instrument with spidery fingers begins to play itself a beautifully calming acoustic song.

It was the last piece of music that I wrote. It was the last animation we produced for Animusic too, and I was a little concerned I wasn't going to be able to come up with anything at all, but well here it is. I actually spent a lot of time going back and forth trying to figure out you know what kind of music this thing would play. Because on one hand I wanted it to be sort of mellow and peaceful and on the other hand its so unusual and and strange that it you know, it wouldn't make sense to have it play something that's very - just very normal sounding. "So I decided that I just had to have some parts just a little bit out there, a little bit strange and also have some parts that were mellow arpeggios, melodies and stuff like that.

The interview with musician and founder Wayne Lytle about the video and music were created.
