Report: Gronkowski's practice injury believed to be 'minor'
New England Patriots fans can exhale.
Star tight end Rob Gronkowski pulled up while running a route during practice Monday, and was forced to sit out the rest of the session.
But Gronkowski isn't believed to have suffered a significant injury, with NFL Network's Ian Rapoport describing it as "minor."
The four-time Pro Bowler was able to walk off the field under his own power, but according to beat writers in attendance, he moved slowly as he left.
It's the second health concern for Gronkowski this offseason, after he missed a portion of OTAs with a reported chest injury.
While Gronkowski may have avoided an injury this time, the scare will likely lead the Patriots to limit his snaps this preseason.
With Tom Brady suspended for the first four games of the season, Gronkowski has become even more indispensable to the Patriots' offense.
