Billie Joe Armstrong Plays a Former Punk Rocker Who Works at a Hardware Store in ‘Ordinary World’

In the upcoming film Ordinary World, a bespectacled Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day plays the role of Perry Miller, a former musician and unassuming married father of two who works in the family hardware store. When Perry's wife (Selma Blair) and daughter forget his 40th birthday, Perry's brother Jake (Chris Messina) offers him a chance to party like a rock star.
