Clarke MacArthur's latest concussion won't stop him from trying to play this season.

The Ottawa Senators forward, who was hit in a training camp scrimmage by prospect Patrick Sieloff over the weekend, clarified his intentions to return in an Instagram post Thursday.

First off, I want to thank the team and the fans for all of the support after the unfortunate incident on Sunday. To me, it was simply a hockey play that ended in a hit causing me to suffer a concussion, a play that could happen at any point. We have been encouraged by how my body has reacted in the days since the injury and the team has been great giving me all the time I need to rest and recover. I will continue to consult with doctors and my entire support group, but I felt it was important to let everyone know that my intentions are to work towards returning to the ice soon.. Thanks again #sensarmy. -Griswold

Sieloff, a 22-year-old defenseman hoping to crack the Senators' NHL roster, caught MacArthur with a blindside hit Sunday that incited retaliatory actions from veterans Bobby Ryan and Chris Neil.

MacArthur played only four games last season due to concussion symptoms, after suffering his fourth brain injury in the last 18 months. The 31-year-old winger has spent the last three campaigns with Ottawa.
