European Union Pushes Paris Climate Change Agreement Into Force

The European Commission announced Tuesday that the European Parliament had ratified the so-called Paris Agreement that sets a climate change target for the planet. The parliament's approval, the Commission said, means that enough parties to the accord, representing enough of the world's emissions producers, have ratified the agreement to push it into force after a 30 day waiting period.(read more)
