The Edmonton Oilers celebrated the opening of their new home by saluting their past.
Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier took a lap to officially open Rogers Place.
Wednesday was particularly special for Gretzky, who rejoined the Oilers as partner and vice-chairman of Oilers Entertainment Group.
