How the Canadiens made history in victory over Kings
The Montreal Canadiens are the NHL's hottest team, and now they're etching their names in the record books.
Thursday night's 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings was significant for several reasons.
The Canadiens improved to 12-1-1, winning 12 of their first 14 games to start a season for the first time in their 99-year history.
They also equaled a franchise record with their ninth consecutive home victory to begin a season, accomplishing the feat for the first time since 1953-54, according to TSN.
Carey Price improved to 9-0-0 in 2016-17, and he now boasts a 1.56 GAA and a .953 save percentage.
Carey Price is 19-2-0 the last two seasons. 24-2-0 if you count the World Cup.

It's still very early, but the 2015 Hart and Vezina Trophy winner might be putting himself in position to add some more hardware.
