It's been a lifetime for Tom Rowe. And yet this must have felt like an eternity for Aleksander Barkov.
With his first goal in 22 games scored on a breakaway in overtime, Barkov delivered the Florida Panthers' new head coach his first career victory at the NHL level Thursday night in Detroit.
Rowe has taken three points from his first two outings behind the bench since the Panthers dismissed Gerard Gallant last weekend.
