Stunning Images of a Michigan Lighthouse Completely Encased in Wind-Whipped Ice
by Lori Dorn from Laughing Squid on (#25Z5Z)
Photographer Joshua Nowicki braved the freezing temperatures of the arctic cold front that blew across the Northern United States during the weekend of December 16, 2016 in order to capture absolutely stunning photos of an icy St. Joseph Lighthouse in St. Joseph Michigan. The lighthouse, which sits at the mouth of the St.Joseph River on the shore of Lake Michigan, became completely encased in ice due to a combination of the thrashing lake and the frigid wind.

Over the same weekend, the Great Lakes Drone Company captured an amazing overhead view of the icy lighthouse
