Sometimes, you just have to play the hand you're dealt.

A former Magic: The Gathering champion was on the receiving end of an unlikely mix-up Monday after his hockey namesake became the first-ever player signed by the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights.

Wow, fifty million notifications about the other Reid Duke (hockey player) doing something awesome. Staying off Twitter for a while!

The card-playing Duke won the online Magic: The Gathering championship in 2011 and was a runner-up at the world championship in 2013.

He has more than 30,000 Twitter followers, dwarfing the hockey player's count of about 1,000.
