That had to feel good.
Alexey Marchenko has scored his first goal as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and it just so happened to come against the Detroit Red Wings, the team that placed him on waivers earlier this season.
The goal was reviewed for possible goalie interference but ultimately upheld, giving Marchenko his fourth goal in 116 career NHL games.
