An Incredible Gripping Bionic Robot Arm Directly Inspired by the Design of an Octopus Tentacle

The German robotic company Festo has created the "Octopus Gripper", a flexible bionic pneumatic arm that can grab ahold of objects in all sorts of shapes and sizes, using the same design used by the eight-armed cephalopod.

The "Octopus Gripper" premiered alongside their Bionic Coinbot and the BionicMotionRobot at Hanover Messe 2017.
