- St. Louis Blues rearguard Colton Parayko notched two power-play goals, Mark Scheifele scored once and added an assist, and Nathan MacKinnon chipped in three helpers.
- Calgary Flames goaltender Chad Johnson turned aside all 10 shots he faced for the shutout.
- The victory moved the Canadians (5-0-1-0) into first in Group B ahead of the Czech Republic.
- Canada finishes its preliminary schedule Tuesday against fourth-place Finland.
