The Chicago Bears announced on Sunday that former starting running back Jeremy Langford has been waived.

Though the team cut the roster from 90 to 53 players on Saturday, the Bears picked up three additional bodies via waivers on Sunday, necessitating the dismissal of three others. Langford, a 25-year-old with two years of NFL experience, was among the small group let go.

He started three games at the outset of the 2016 season, before rookie Jordan Howard took over as the team's new lead rusher.
