As much as we get addicted to mobile phones and online services, nobody(outside of cyberpunk fiction) actually lives online. That's why maps,geolocation services, and geographic information systems (GISes) have come to play a bigger role online. They reflect they way we live,work, travel, socialize, and (in the case of natural or human-madedisasters, which come more and more frequently) suffer.
