Matthew Boyd took a no-hitter into the top of the ninth today against the Chicago White Sox, with the Tigers winning 12-0. Boyd had allowed one base-runner all day, on a third inning walk. Adam Engel led off the bottom of the ninth with a pop out to third; Kevan Smith, hitting for Rob Brantly, grounded out to short."
