Gase dismisses idea of benching Cutler after Saints shut out Dolphins
Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase shot down the idea of making a change at quarterback after Jay Cutler failed to lead the offense to a single point Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
Gase acted like the suggestion of benching Cutler for backup Matt Moore was "absurd," according to Jason Lieser of The Palm Beach Post.
"It's not time to panic. We've been way worse than this," said Gase, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Cutler looked solid in the Dolphins' first possession, but ended the opening drive in London with an ugly red-zone interception. After that, the Dolphins were unable to get any rhythm on offense, with Cutler struggling to get the ball downfield.
"It's orchestrated chaos out there," Cutler said after the game, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
The scoreless showing by the Dolphins on Sunday follows a humiliating 20-6 loss to the New York Jets in Week 3.
